About the event

Esther Austin Global hosts a monthly Series 'The Art of Conversation' over afternoon tea.  These events encourage individuals to reclaim the art of healthy conversation and to have open, authentic conversations of expression with solutions, guidance and insights.

"Although there have been many technological advances in the form of communication, in-person conversations still hold much power and are a crucial part of our well-being. A conversation can invoke emotion, and establish bonds between you and others."

For the month of April, we have a very special guest joining us from The USA.  Renowned Celebrity and Entertainment Publicist Deborah Hayter will be leading us in the discussion of 'How to Maintain a Sense of Humour as you age Gracefully'.

Deborah will also be weaving insights about her time in the Entertainment industry and how she has used humor to stand against ageism, to rise up the ranks, whilst sharing humourous anecdotes of how to age gracefully as she has followed her dreams and aspirations to often push through glass ceilings in the Entertainment world.

  • Embracing humor as we age offers  - what are the benefits and how do they enrich our lives and enhance our overall well-being?
  • How does Humor provide a positive perspective on life?  allowing us to find laughter in everyday situations.  
  • How can we learn to strengthen bonds and enrich relationships?

  • How does humor foster connections and empathy with others? (By sharing humorous thoughts and experiences related to aging, we can create meaningful connections with others who understand and relate to our situation.) 
  • As we age, how can embracing humor enable us to appreciate life and find joy in the little moments? 
  • How can we use humor in our work/jobs/vocation? 

20 Minutes - On the Sofa with Esther with Q&A: Esther Austin will host an interview with Deborah who will also share tips on how to gain information and insight into gaining access into the multi-million dollar entertainment industry i.e How to Bring your existing skillset into Television, Film and Entertainment and how humor has helped her access this industry.  

Each month, there will be the chance to mingle with like-minded authentic people who simply want a space to chill, to talk , share, to be inspired, to get answers and solutions, and to indulge in the nostalgia of Afternoon Tea.
